Culture in Ordino
The Ordino Miniature Museum houses one of the most amazing collections in the world: microscopic works of art created in the eye of a needle, on the wing of a fly, or on an apple seed. A place that defies the limits of perception and fascinates all ages.
Just a few steps from the Hotel Coma, it is a must-see for days when you feel like discovering Ordino on foot.
Culture and music
The National Auditorium of Andorra, in Ordino, is the most important cultural space in the country. Home to international classical and jazz music festivals, it hosts top-level shows each season, making the town a cultural benchmark in the Pyrenees.
A fact that connects with the history of the Hotel Coma: the Auditori was built on the land where the d’Areny-Plandolit family had their stables, the same ones they sold to the Coma family to make the expansion of the hotel possible in 1932.
Casa d’Areny-Plandolit is the best-preserved historic building in Andorra. Residence of the most influential family in Ordino for two centuries, it maintains its salons, historic kitchen, private chapel, and exterior garden intact. An authentic window to Andorran aristocratic life in the 19th century.
A curious historical fact: it was Xavier d’Areny-Plandolit who convinced Bonaventura Coma to build the hotel in 1932, promising him that the museum he would open on the neighboring land would attract visitors. A story of neighbors that continues to this day.
Ordino preserves his soul. Every corner of the village tells a story, and many of them are intertwined with that of the Hotel Coma itself.
